Klook is 10! Time flies — we've grown from a scrappy startup to a unicorn, and now Asia’s leading platform for experiences and travel services.
Each decade is like a change of color in leaves, the shedding of skin, a significant transformation of sorts. Having been through the highs and lows, Klook wouldn't be here without the team's resilience and hunger for growth.
Hence, for our 10th anniversary, we kicked 2024 off with a bang, and strategized ahead for our 10th birthday bash, so that it's all systems go for our remarkable celebration of joy with our customers.
Our Office Experience team seized the opportunity to let Klookers enjoy memorable experiences. Some relived childhood memories, taking a stroll down 'history' lane, while others experienced firsthand the 'hindrances' that arise along a growth journey.

Bali & Jakarta: Adrenaline-filled mini outdoor escapades
True to their enthusiasm for outdoor activities, Klookers in Bali experienced the adrenaline rush through an ATV ride across muddy terrains. They navigated twists and turns, splashed through puddles, and one member playfully took the lead, splattering extra dirt on the others' ATVs for some added fun. While in Jakarta, our colleagues hit a theme park, splitting into groups to tackle BINGO and challenges before indulging in a tummy-filling Indonesian dinner.
EMEA: Exchanging stories in a laid-back setting
Our close-knit team in the Middle East enjoyed an intimate dinner at En Fuego, a lively party brunch spot in Atlantis, The Palm. Meanwhile, our Klookers working remotely in Europe and the US finally reconnected in a long-overdue virtual catch-up. Those celebrating their Klookiversaries shared their memorable experiences and offered new joiners on the team some great advice for navigating their Klook adventures.
Gurugram: Getting in touch with inner 10-year-old child through arcade games
Remember the thrill you felt as a kid when you arrived at the arcade? Klookers from our Gurugram office experienced just that! They engaged in a 'dance battle' at the Step Maniax machine, took the wheel in a Sega racing game, tested their slam dunk skills, and bowled strikes at the alley. Friendly yet exciting competition made for a perfect evening!
Ho Chi Minh City: Jumping with joy at an indoor trampoline park
Over in Vietnam, our Klookers swung by Jump Arena, Vietnam’s first integrated indoor trampoline park, for a series of dynamic games. They attempted a slam dunk on trampolines, climbed walls, competed in a dodgeball match, and dove into a foam ball pit for a treasure hunt!
Kuala Lumpur: Playing local tourists for a day with an Amazing Race twist
Inspired by the famous American reality show, our team in Malaysia put a local tourist spin on their city exploration race. Ten teams dashed from one tourist spot to another, getting hands-on with local arts like painting batik and crafting traditional kites (Wau) with loose fabrics. On top of riding roller coasters and engaging in a laser battle, they competed to see who could scarf down Malaysia’s national dish, Nasi Lemak, the fastest! At our Kuala Lumpur office, some Klookers pedaled hard on a bike with a blender, turning fruits into thirst-quenching juices.
Manila: Mingling with kids at The Mind Museum
Spreading joy in Klook's fashion — that's how our Klookers in the Philippines celebrated Klook's 10th! Teaming up with Asociacion De Damas De Filipinas, they took orphans and indigent kids to Jollibee, the McDonald's of the Philippines, for quality bonding time. They then went to The Mind Museum, a world-class science museum, where they imparted interactive learning to the kids. This activity was a rare treat for our Manila team. It was heartwarming for Klookers to see the kids having a blast and feeling cared for.
Seoul: Where mind meets heart for meaningful connections
Taking cues from the Pixar animated film Inside Out, Klookers from the Korea Business team held their own in-person 1nside 0ut podcast where they bared their hearts about their journeys at Klook. They shared anecdotes ranging from the worries of doing a good job to managing an influx of customer queries during a typhoon, all striking a chord with their colleagues. Whereas in our Seoul CEG (Customer Experience Group) office, our members challenged each other to see who turned out to be 'CEG-enius' through various table-top games. Shenzhen: Cosplaying at a throwback-themed Annual Gala
As per tradition, Klookers in China commemorated our 10th anniversary with a gala jam-packed with a lavish feast, music performances, carnival games, craft workshops, and light shows. The cosplay was a showstopper. Klookers flaunted their costumes as Rich Middle Eastern Women, The Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan, Cowboys of the Wild West, and Railway Engineers. Our co-founders and senior leaders even joined the fun as Harry Potter!
With exciting cosplay awards and a treasure trove of lucky draw prizes, it was a night that tickled all five senses. What an epic celebration to remember!
Singapore: Solving clues through an outdoor race
Klookers in Singapore love exploring hidden gems no matter where they go. When given the time to explore their vicinity, they went all in! They raced against the clock to solve puzzles throughout Tanjong Pagar, uncovering its rich history dating back to the 1800s and exploring the diverse cultural influences that shape Singapore. Some of their interesting checkpoints? Maxwell Chambers, Jinrikisha Station, Tea Chapter, and Duxton Hill. Some Klookers even confessed that they wouldn't have learned so much fascinating, little-known history about Singapore without this outdoor race.
Sydney: A joyful soirée in a cozy bar
Sydney-based Klookers celebrating their 3rd and 5th Klookiversaries were in for a treat as they received their gifts firsthand from our VP of People & Culture, Cary Shek. Their celebration took place in a botanical-inspired restaurant and bar with a warm atmosphere. As they enjoyed a delightful supper together, Cary took the time to express gratitude for their contributions while the rest of the tenured Klookers shared heartfelt reflections on their journeys within the company.
Taipei: A fulfilling trip to a farm with a scallion pancake DIY experience
Who would have thought that making scallion pancakes could be so fun and reflective of our 10-year journey? This meaningful idea came from our Office Experience team in Taipei. Seeing scallions as a symbol of growth and resilience, Klookers in Taipei experienced the hard work of nurturing scallions, then harvested them to make their own delicious pancakes. Nothing beats a warm snack made with love!
Tokyo: Klookavenger Hunt and Summer Seaside Party
Divided into six teams and armed with missions from our Klook Quest travel challenge deck, our Klookers in Japan embarked on a scavenger hunt around Tokyo! Some sketched scenery on the spot, others asked local restaurant waiters for surprise recommendations, and one team visited an attraction starting with a member's initial. They wrapped up the week with a relaxing beach getaway, enjoying activities like suikawari, a traditional summer game where players try to split a watermelon with a stick while blindfolded. Just the perfect way to 'seas' the last day of summer!
